Thamesmead Youth Voice (TYV) hosted an egg-traordinary event at The Link during the Easter holidays.
Their Easter Egg-stravaganza featured a range of stalls ranging from biscuit decorating, cornflake cake making and arts and crafts, an Easter egg hunt, bonnet parade and last but by no means least, the star of the event, reptile razzmatazz. The reptile show gave children and adults the chance to not only learn about reptiles but hold them too.
The Link’s Reception/Operations Worker, Claire Davies said: “I found the experience amazing as I got over my fear of spiders by holding the tarantula.”
The Link’s Gapper, Naomi Thomas who works closely with TYV said: “I love it when TYV put on an event as it is great to see the young people take responsibility and pride in the work they have done and what they have achieved.”
Eleven year old TYV member, Elliot said: “It was fun, not only getting to know people but the responsibilities and opportunities… and getting to hold reptiles too.”
