Sponsored walk

10th March 2014

Ten members of Thamesmead Youth Voice (TYV) dressed up in onesies on Saturday to take part in a 15 mile sponsored walk.

The eight hour walk which raised money for their group started at Westminster Bridge and continued along to Tate Modern, The Globe, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, Cutty Sark and along the Ridgeway, back to The Link.

The Link staff member, Claire said: “It was a real challenge but the young people got on with it, taking in the sights along the way, even when we hit the pain barrier at Charlton. The blisters grew bigger by the mile but we encouraged each other and soldiered on. Once on the Ridgeway we speeded up to The Link as Pizza was ready and waiting for us.”

Thamesmead Youth Voice members said…
