Wheely good fun

3rd July 2013

Eight Archway Project members put foot to pedal during a two day cycle extravaganza at Chicksands Bike Park in Bedfordshire.

The constant drizzle may have stopped their bodies from overheating but there was no way it was going to dampen their enthusiasm.

"Chicksands is a perfect location to hone your bicycle skills," said Archway's Officer, Will, "Everyone’s riding came on leaps and bounds and confidence levels on the tracks and trails rose after the first day."

Fortunately the rain eased off just in time to light the BBQ and set up tents for the overnight camp. Belly’s soon full of chargrilled goodness, staff and young people sat around the campfire, under the stars telling tales about their first day.

"It was a fantastic team-bonding experience with everyone rearing to go on the second day," said Will. "The previous day's learning paid dividends with everyone feeling instantly at home on the trails, pushing themselves to the next level.

"It was a fantastic weekend."
