Half-term holiday fun

19th February 2013

More than 140 young people have signed-up to take part in our week-long, half term activity programme, Boredom Busters, in partnership with Sporting Club Thamesmead.

With a week-long Football course, Tennis and Golf coaching, Street Dance workshops, Indoor Rock Climbing, High Ropes Taster sessions, a Recycle Arts Workshop and a Nature Trail to choose from, there really is something for everyone.

The Link’s Marketing Coordinator, Julia Hickson said: “It has been fantastic to meet some of the young people who have taken part in our week-long, activity programme – some of which I recognise from our half-term activities that took place in October last year.

“Talking to them, not only have these activities given them something to do, but it has given them the chance to learn something new and meet other young people, who they may not otherwise meet but who live in the same area.

“The half-term activities also showcase what it is The Link Thamesmead and Sporting Club Thamesmead offer to young people and we hope they sign-up to take part in our on-going activities too.”
